Hilo man charged with meth trafficking after raid on house
Hawaii County police charged a man Tuesday with meth trafficking and other offenses after police with a search warrant raided a housed in the Waiakea Uka area of Hilo Monday.
Wesley Kailimai, 45, of Hilo was charged with first-degree meth trafficking, second-degree promotion of a detrimental drug, two counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and three counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $301,000.
At 6:55 p.m. Monday during the search of the house, vice officers recovered 84.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $17,500, paraphernalia associated with the distribution and use of crystal meth and 30.6 grams of marijuana.
Kailimai remained in the police cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Wednesday
