2 women safe after kayak capsizes off Maui
Maui fire rescue personnel came to the aid of two women whose kayak capsized about 500 yards offshore in La Perouse Bay.
A watercraft brought the two women back to shore. Both were wearing personal flotation devices.
The women were part of a group of six people who were attempting to paddle to Makena on three two-person kayaks. The other four people were able to safely return to shore.
