Seabury Hall earns top score at State Math Bowl
The Seabury Hall math team earned the top overall score in Saturday’s State Math Bowl at Brigham Young University-Hawaii.
Seabury Hall took top place in the A-Division (smaller schools) by correctly answering 13 of 14 problems for a score of 84 out of 90. It was the first time in the 36-year history of the event that a team from the small-school division earned the highest overall score
Maryknoll placed second in the division, followed by Saint Louis.
In the AA-Division (large schools), Iolani (81 points) took first place, followed by Punahou and McKinley.
Located in Makawao, Maui, Seabury Hall has an overall enrollment of just 441 students in grades six to 12.
