Police: Driver fled after head-on collision in Kahaluu

Honolulu Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene after a head-on collision in Kahaluu Saturday night.

Police said the accident happened at about 9:37 p.m. south of Leinani Drive on Kamehameha Highway in Kahaluu.

An unknown vehicle traveling Kahuku-bound on the highway crossed the center line and struck a Kaneohe-bound vehicle head-on, police said.

Paramedics took a Kaneohe woman to the hospital in serious condition from the vehicle that was struck.

The Kahuku-bound vehicle fled the scene.
