Police arrest Puna couple after finding 674 marijuana plants
Hawaii County police arrested a Puna couple Friday after some 674 marijuana plants were discovered at their home in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision.
Officers executing a search warrant found the plants — ranging in height from six inches to four feet, as well as 80 clones and nearly seven pounds of dried marijuana.
A 62-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and transported to the Hilo police cellblock. Her 52-year-old husband turned himself at the Hilo police station several hours later.
The two are being help on suspicion of commercial promotion of marijuana.
