A 26-year-old Kaneohe Marine sergeant is in custody after he allegedly stabbed his wife Thursday morning.
Officer arrested the Marine, who listed a Marine Corps Base Hawaii home address, on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder at 6:40 a.m.
The alleged incident occurred just after 6 a.m. on Thursday. A spokeswoman for the Marine base would only confirm that the suspect was a Marine stationed at Kaneohe.
Officers arrested the man at a Kamehameha Highway address in Kahaluu.
Emergency Medical Services said paramedics treated the woman for a small wound to her chest and took her in stable condition to the hospital.
The 28-year-old victim told police that the suspect stabbed her.
