A pick-up truck crashed over an embankment onto the School Street H-1 offramp early Saturday morning, seriously injuring a man.
According to city Emergency Medical Services officials, at about 2:20 a.m., the driver lost control of the vehicle while driving on School Street, hit a parked car, veered left, and crashed through a chain-link fence onto the School Street westbound offramp of H-1 about 30 feet below.
The driver, a 43-year-old man, was taken to a hospital in serious condition, according to EMS.
Honolulu police closed the Ewa-bound School Street offramp and School Street from Nuuanu Avenue to Aala Street while the truck was removed and the fencing repaired.
The roads reopened by 5:51 a.m.
