Police investigate Alewa Heights robbery

Two men face attempted robbery charges after they allegedly threatened and struck a man in Alewa Heights Tuesday.

Police said one of the suspects allegedly threatened a 21-year-old man and allegedly struck him. The two male suspects — ages 19 and 20 — the tried to take the victim’s personal items, police said. During the struggle the victim fled. Officers apprehended the pair at 7:17 a.m. in Alewa Heights amd arrested them on suspicion of first-degree attempted robbery.

Paramedics treated and took a 21-year-old man in serious condition to the hospital with facial injuries after he was allegedly hit in the face at about 6:30 a.m.
