A 31-year-old Honolulu police solo bike officer was in serious condition Sunday after he was struck by an SUV on Kalanianaole Highway, police said.
Police said the driver of the SUV that hit the officer was arrested. The offense for the arrest was not immediately available.
Police shut down the highway from Bell Street to Makai Pier to investigate after the crash about 10:30 a.m. The road was reopened about 2:30 p.m.
