Man arrested for alleged theft of construction materials

A 25-year-old man, stopped in Wahiawa for a traffic violation Monday, ended up under arrest for having allegedly stolen construction material in the bed of his truck.

An investigating officer learned that the material was stolen from a construction site in Wahiawa, police said.

Officers arrested the man at 5:10 a.m. on suspicion of second-degree theft after he was stopped at about 2 a.m.

He was released later Monday pending further investigation.
