Police are looking for two men in separate incidents — initially reported as attempted kidnappings — who are wanted for allegedly approaching children in Ewa Beach on Sept. 18 and Monday.

Police on Wednesday said they were investigating three reports of attempted kidnappings of elementary school-age children. Two of the three incidents match details in the two cases outlined by police Thursday.

A man suspected of harassment was in a white panel van when he approached a girl and her younger brother at about 2:15 p.m. Sept. 18, while they were walking home on Keanui Drive.

The passenger yelled out his window, "Get in the van," but the van never stopped, and continued toward Fort Weaver Road, police said.

The man is described as in his 40s, with a mustache, wearing a long-sleeved neon-green shirt.

The other man, wanted for terroristic threatening, approached a girl at 2:15 p.m. Monday.

Police said the girl was walking home on Holopapa Street at Leleoi Street when an unknown man called out her name, which was written on her backpack.

He asked her to come with him to a nearby grassy area, but the girl refused.

The man then yelled, "You better come with me now or I am going to kill you," police said.

The girl fled and reported the incident, police said.

That man is described as being in his mid-20s, 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds, with a shaved head except for a bright red mohawk, gray tank top, blue shorts and white Jordan slippers. He has a green tattoo across his forehead, and a tribal tattoo on his left arm.
