EBay founder turned Hawaii-based philanthropist and businessman Pierre Omidyar is the only billionaire on the annual Forbes 400 list to cite Hawaii as their home state.
Third-ranked Larry Ellison, 70, is the Oracle founder and owns 98 percent of Lanai. His net worth is $48.1 billion, and he lists California as his home state.
At No. 194, Edward DeBartolo Jr., with a net worth of $3 billion, has interests in Ka Makana Alii, a shopping center planned for East Kapolei, as well as the 132-room Aqua Waikiki Pearl. He is based in Florida.
