The two westbound lanes of North School Street reopened after crews repaired an 8-inch water main break in the 1600 block, the Honolulu Board of Water Supply said.

Crews completed repairs on the pipe and roadway at about 1 a.m.

The lanes were closed between Makuahine Street and Likelike Highway after the break was reported about 3 p.m. Monday. However, the lanes were not closed until after the afternoon rush hour.

The Board of Water Supply said six customers were without water service.
