Man found submerged in 40 feet of water off Lanai Lookout

A 26-year-old man was reported in critical condition after jumping off Lanai Lookout on Wednesday morning, according to Emergency Medical Services.

The man jumped off Lanai Lookout, and Ocean Safety lifeguards rescued him after finding him submerged in 40 feet of water about 10:50 a.m.

He was brought to Sandy Beach, where paramedics transported him to a hospital.
