A pedestrian is in critical condition after he was struck by a car Saturday night on the Likelike Highway, police said.

The 34-year-old man was witnessed crossing Likelike Highway and Alu St. against a “no walking” signal and not using a marked crosswalk around 9:59 p.m., police said.

The driver of a 2003 Chevrolet MPV, a 26-year-old man from Honolulu, was traveling southbound on Likelike on a green light where he struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian suffered major head and internal injuries and was transported to Queen’s Hospital in critical condition.
