Honolulu is the favorite beach getaway destination and ranks high in other categories in the 2014 "America’s Favorite Cities" report in Travel + Leisure magazine.

Honolulu also ranked second in the U.S. for weather (behind San Diego, Calif.), second for a romantic escape (behind Charleston, S. Carolina), third for an adventure vacation (behind Salt Lake City and Albuquerque) and fourth for a spa vacation (behind San Diego, Miami and Los Angeles).

Honolulu also ranked as the 19th-best city for coffee in the U.S., with the T+L write up online mentioning Hawaii’s Kona coffee crop, Glazer’s Coffee in Moiliili, Green World Farms in Wahiawa and Morning Glass Coffee locations in Manoa and Kakaako.

Honolulu is not among the top five best cities for people-watching, nor is it among the top five for athletic or active people, friendly, attractive, or intelligent people.

Honolulu also is not among the top five "Good Drivers" cities.

The magazine provides an online venue for people who disagree with the readers’ poll.
