Man charged with April business robbery
Prosecutors on Thursday charged a 20-year-old man with robbing April 28 a business in the Nimitz Highway area.
Bail was set at $50,000.
Police said the man walked into the business establishment and picked out an item, exited without paying, and store employees tried to stop him outside the store.
The man then used a dangerous instrument to threaten the employees, police said.
Police arrested Kevin Gouveia Jr. at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the Oahu Community Correctional Center.
He was charged at 3 p.m. with first-degree robbery.
