LAS VEGAS » An attorney says his client believes she may have struck a man and his 1-year-old granddaughter in Las Vegas, and plans to turn herself in to police.

Las Vegas lawyer Herb Sachs said Friday that the woman would surrender on Tuesday. He declined to identify her to reporters or police.

Officer Jesse Roybal says police haven’t agreed to a Tuesday surrender date and would arrest her before then if she’s identified.

Authorities say 63-year-old Michael Grubbs was pushing a stroller along South Rainbow Boulevard Monday when he was hit by a vehicle.

Grubbs died of his injuries. The girl in the stroller was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and later released.

Sachs said his client was sorry someone was killed and had great remorse over possibly being involved.
