Medical examiner’s office IDs motorcyclist killed in crash near Diamond Head Theatre
A 39-year-old Honolulu man who was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle this weekend was identified Tuesday by the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office as John G. Chung.
The office said Chung died of multiple blunt force injuries and ruled his death an accident.
The crash occurred at about 12:20 a.m. Sunday, fronting Diamond Head Theatre.
Police said Chung was heading south on Makapuu Avenue when he struck a curb and hit the ground.
He died at the hospital.
Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
