Police investigating arson in downtown business
Police are investigating two small fires that were intentionally set at a business in Downtown Honolulu Monday.
Shortly before 3 p.m., firefighters responded to a call from an employee of a fire on the second floor of a building at 212 Merchant Street, according to Honolulu Fire Spokesman Capt. David Jenkins.
Two fires were found in the trash can in the women’s restroom and in a cupboard in a break room, Jenkins said.
An employee extinguished the fires before firefighters arrived.
No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
