State sheriff deputies seize large amount of marijuana
The Department of Public Safety announced Wednesday that state sheriff deputies seized a large amount of marijuana from a piece of luggage at the Honolulu Airport.
Twelve large, clear plastic bags filled with marijuana were found Dec. 26 inside an abandoned bag.
An airline employee discovered the bag at the Hawaiian Air baggage claim area and immediately called Sheriffs.
The Sheriff Division turned the marijuana over to the federal Drug Enforcement Agency for further investigation.
