A 21-year-old man is in custody for the attempted murder of another man in public housing in Wahiawa, police said.

The suspect, who lives at Kauhale Nani apartments, was arguing with a 20-year-old man at 10:54 p.m. Friday when he brandished a deadly weapon and attempted to use it, police said.

Police arrested the suspect about 10 minutes later at the apartment complex, at 310 N. Cane St., for investigation of second-degree attempted murder.

Police said the victim was not seriously hurt.
