    Honolulu police released this image, taken from a security camera, of a suspect in a moped theft on Dec. 9 at the Prospect Tower apartments in Makiki.

Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man seen on video stealing a moped from the parking area of the Prospect Tower apartments in Makiki.

Police said the suspect entered the parking area at about 11 p.m. on Dec. 9 and took the moped. Security camera video, released by police on Friday, shows the suspect approaching and then rummaging through items stored in the moped.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, *CRIME on a cellular phone, or Honolulu police at 529-3111,
