Hawaii island police arrest inmate missing since Feb. 16
Hawaii island police said prison inmate Railee Keoni Santos, who has been missing since Feb. 16, was captured Thursday.
Santos, 20, was arrested in Mountain View at 4:45 p.m. Thursday.
He was being held at the Hilo police cellblock on suspicion of escape.
Santos was confined at Hawaii Community Correctional Center’s reintegration program at Hale Nani when he escaped on Feb. 16.
He was serving a sentence for a terroristic threatening conviction and was to complete his sentence in June.
Meanwhile, extended furlough inmate John Towle failed to check in at noon at the Kona Furlough House and police were expected to issue a warrant for his arrest, the Department of Public Safety said.

Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside of the facility but must check in at various times.
Towle is 44 years old. He is 6’0” tall and weighs 155 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Towle is serving time for methamphetamine trafficking. His next parole hearing was scheduled for June.
