VT Halter Marine delivers ship to Pasha Hawaii

PASCAGOULA, Miss. >> VT Halter Marine has delivered a 25,000-metric ton combination container and roll-on/roll-off car truck carrier to Pasha Hawaii.

It announced the delivery this week.

The MV Marjorie C is the largest vessel ever launched by VT Halter.

The MV Marjorie C is the second U.S. flagged Jones Act-qualified vessel built for Honolulu-based Pasha Hawaii and will join its sister ship, the MV Jean Anne, providing additional service to Hawaii.

The MV Jean Anne, also built by VT Halter Marine, has been serving the Hawaii/Mainland since March 2005.

The 692 feet long MV Marjorie C has a vehicle shipping capacity of 1,100 units. It can carry 1,400 TEUs above and under deck and over-high/over-wide cargoes on 10 workable decks.

Pasha Hawaii specializes in transportation of containers, cars, trucks and oversize cargo.
