Motorcyclist who died after rear-ending car on H-1 identified
The motorcyclist who died after rear-ending a vehicle stopped on the H-1 freeway Saturday has been identified as Randall Baldaf, 54, of Waipahu.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office identified Baldaf on Sunday and said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Police said that at about 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Baldaf struck a vehicle in the far right lane of the freeway about a half mile before the Waiawa Road Overpass.
The vehicle had stopped behind another vehicle that was stalled in the lane because of mechanical problems, police said.
Baldaf was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
