Medical examiner identifies man found floating in Honolulu Harbor
Further tests are needed to determine the cause of death of a 42-year-old man, whose body was recovered Sunday by fire rescue personnel in Honolulu Harbor.
The medical examiner identified the victim as Mario Canales. The medical examiner is still trying to determine where he lived.
Canales’ body was discovered by fishermen at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, floating one-third of a mile from shore in Honolulu Harbor.
Police classified the case as an unattended death, pending the outcome of the autopsy.
