Rush-hour traffic in the downtown area slowed to a crawl on Friday after a traffic collision resulted in a downed light pole on Nimitz Highway.

According to witnesses, a tour bus collided with a pick-up truck, causing the truck to strike the light pole.

The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Nimitz Highway and Bishop Street.

No injuries were reported.

Two Ewa-bound lanes of the highway were closed for more than two hours while the pole was removed.
