Another patient arrested at state hospital for alleged assault of worker
For the second time this week, police arrested a patient at the Hawaii State Hospital following an attack on a state worker at the Kaneohe facility.
A 44-year-old man assaulted a 42-year-old man at the state hospital on Wednesday at about 8:30 a.m., police said. Police arrested the suspect on Thursday.
On Monday, a 19-year-old patient allegedly attacked a 52-year-old state worker at about 10:30 p.m. on the hospital grounds.
Officers arrested both patients on suspicion of second degree assault.
Both men were released to hospital officials, pending further investigation. Neither patient has been charged.
