Beachgoers frolicked in large surf at Halona Cove — also known as the “From Here to Eternity” beach — on Wednesday in east Honolulu. High surf remained throughout the day along east-facing shores of Oahu and Kauai.

A large south swell will bring warning level surf to the south shores of all islands through Monday.

The National Weather Service issued a high surf warning in effect until 6 a.m.

The swell is expected to generate surf from 10 to 15 feet through Sunday night and decreasing to 8 to 12 feet on Monday.

Beachgoers are advised to heed advice given by lifeguards and exercise caution from lifeguards.
