Maui flood advisory canceled
According to the National Weather Service in Honolulu, a flood advisory was canceled Thursday night for Maui.
The weather service had reported that although heavy rains have ended, ponding and water runoff still are affecting roads in Kihei.
On Kauai, the flood warning ended at 8:15 p.m. Thursday.
At 5:11 p.m. Kauai Civil Defense reported that several streams over northeast Kauai were running high. Radar also showed heavy rain continuing over slopes above Kapaa. Rainfall is expected to continue until around sunset.
Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to Haena, Wainiha, Na Pali State Park, Moloaa, Kalalau Valley, Princeville, Kilauea, Hanalei and Anahola.
Oahu was under a flash flood warning until 5:15 p.m.

Thunderstorms with heavy rain were moving over Waialua, Haleiwa and near Schofield Barracks at about 2:18 p.m. Thursday, with more heavy showers developing over the Koolau Mountain Range.
A flash flood warning means flash flooding is imminent or already occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas.
A flood advisory for the island of Hawaii is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday. At 5 p.m. radar showed moderate to heavy rain over Kona. The area of rainfall was drifting west and could affect roads and communities from Kalaoa to Honaunau.
