A Coast Guard 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Honolulu tows the sailboat Ka Imi Ka to Pier 38 in Honolulu after the vessel suffered a fire Thursday.

A fire broke out on a sailboat with five people aboard Thursday.

The Coast Guard said one of its crews towed the boat into Pier 38 after patrons at Aloha Tower reported seeing the sailboat on fire about a mile off Sand Island.

The crew of the boat had put the fire out by the time the Coast Guard crew arrived.

There were no injuries.
