UH soccer team defeats Bakersfield
The Hawaii soccer team got back in the win column with a 2-1 decision over Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday night at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
Kellsie Gleason and Dani Crawford found the net for UH (2-4-1), which won its second straight at home.
UH played the final 60 minutes of the game down a player when Kama Pascua was issued a red card in the first half. But the Wahine kept the pressure on the Roadrunners most of the way.
CSUB (1-4-1) finally capitalized on its numbers advantage in the 79th minute when the Roadrunners attacked from the wing and Chloe Peepgrass edged it over the goal line before goalkeeper Monk Berger could pounce on it.
UH outshot CSUB 19-4.
The Wahine head back on the road for games at UNLV and Nevada on Friday and Sunday.
