Search for theft suspects leads to lockdown at Waialua High

Waialua High School on the North Shore was on lockdown for about 30 minutes Thursday morning as police searched for suspects in a possible car theft.

The school went into lockdown at 9:40 a.m. as a precaution, the Department of Education reported, and the lockdown was lifted just after 10 a.m..

There were no immediate reports from police on what prompted the lockdown.
