A magnitude 3.8 earthquake shook parts of Hawaii island early Thursday afternoon.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at 12:32 p.m., was centered 11 miles south of Fern Acres, 26 miles south of Hilo, and about 4 miles deep.
