Fire destroyed a single-family home in Maili on Friday. 

Honolulu firefighters responding to the 8:19 a.m. call found the home on Maipela Street fully engulfed in fire. The fire was brought under control at 8:38 a.m. and fully extinguished by 9:16 a.m. 

A total of 24 personnel from 12 fire companies were dispatched to the fire. 

A 45-year-old woman who was in the home was able to escape without injury. The American Red Cross of Hawaii is assisting her. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Damage was estimated at $75,000 to the structure and $5,000 to its contents.
