Paramedics transported a man in his 30s in critical condition to a hospital after a moped accident, the second one today.

Emergency Medical Services said the man was riding a moped when the accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. today at 3252 Diamond Head Rd.

The man sustained a head injury, and was not wearing a helmet, spokeswoman Shayne Enright said.

In the other crash, a 21-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition this morning after the moped she was riding collided with a bus near the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Police said the accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. at University Avenue and Maile Way.
