The Honolulu Fire Department and the Honolulu Police Department are warning the public of a scam involving an individual who is offering to place a decal on home windows claiming to represent the fire department in the Palolo and Pearl City areas.

The fire department has not authorized anyone to solicit installation of decals or any other signage. The fire department recommends that anyone who has received a decal should remove it and contact the police. Anyone with information is asked to contact the HPD or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
