A small fire early this morning in a tractor repair building at Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar in Puunene was quickly extinguished.
Kahului firefighters responding to a call arrived at the sugar mill at 1:27 a.m. They found a small blaze in a building along the old Puunene Ave., and brought the fire under control at 1:34. The fire in the tractor repair shop burned wooden storage lockers, causing about $1,000 in damages to the structure and $1,000 to contents.
The cause is under investigation, and there were no injuries.
