Interstate Building experiencing problems with water, air
The Interstate Building on King Street is experiencing problems with water and air conditioning.
According to the property management office, Pure Real Estate, the 16-floor commercial building located at 1314 S. King St. has no air conditioning and running water above the sixth floor. One of three elevators is also down.
The property management office said there is power in tenants’ offices and the parking lot remains open.
The cause of the water and air-conditioning problems hasn’t been determined.
Darren Pai, spokesman of Hawaiian Electric Co., said service from the grid is working but the building is having some internal problems that started Saturday.
“We have our people onsite assisting them,” said Pai. “They have an electrician making the necessary repairs.”
