Tip leads to arrest of suspect in armed robbery at Tantalus
Police received a tip that led to the Thursday arrest of one of four men who allegedly robbed a 19-year-old man apparently at gunpoint Sunday.
At 12:30 a.m. Sunday, the men drove up to a group of young people parked at a lookout point on Tantalus.
Two men got out of the vehicle demanding money, and one of them said he had a gun wrapped in a towel and allegedly threatened to shoot the teen if he didn’t comply.
The same suspect then allegedly demanded the keys to a moped belonging to the teen, and fled on the moped.
The other suspects left in the vehicle.
Police received a tip Thursday saying a suspect was at the Kapahulu Groin.
