Maui police said two Molokai men sustained gunshot wounds near a house in Hoolehua on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a 52-year-old man was taken to the Molokai Airport and transported to an Oahu hospital by air ambulance. The other man, 37, was taken by ambulance to Molokai General Hospital. 

Molokai police responded to a call from a house on Puu Kapele Avenue in Hoolehua. Officers found two people had been shot away from the home, police said. 

Police did not provide any further details. Police said they are continuing to investigate the case. 

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Molokai police at 553-5355.
