Man allegedly assaults officer in Kalihi
Police detained a 28-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted a police officer in Kalihi.
At 11:34 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a call of a man running through the streets and acting erratically. Officers located and stopped the man. He then assaulted an officer with a dangerous instrument, police said.
Police said the suspect was detained and taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
No arrest has been made. The investigation is ongoing.
