Big Isle dengue fever outbreak totals 38 cases
The Department of Health reports today that the number of dengue fever cases in the Hawaii island outbreak is now at 38 confirmed cases.
The department said today four more cases were added to Thursday’s count.
Of that number, six are children, meaning under the age of 18, and eight are visitors.
The cluster of cases are locally acquired, not cases involving people who have traveled to other countries where the disease is endemic.
