Brown water advisory issued for Oahu after days of rain

The state Department of Health issued a brown water advisory today for Oahu after several days of rainy weather.
The department’s Clean Water Branch advises the public to stay out of flood waters and storm-water runoff due to possible overflowing cesspools, sewer manholes, pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, pathogens, chemicals, and associated flood debris.
If the water is brown, stay out, officials advise.
