Firefighters block off Makiki house while gas leak repaired
Honolulu firefighters blocked off a residence at 2009 Makiki St. in response to a gas leak Wednesday afternoon.
Fire spokesman Capt. David Jenkins said the gas leak was reported at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday and fire officials blocked off an area at the residence.
He said Hawaii Gas arrived at about 5:20 p.m. to fix the leak and that no injuries or damage occurred.
