Officers arrest suspect seen entering Kaneohe business early Thanksgiving morning

Crime Reduction Unit officers arrested a 34-year-old man after they observed him trying to enter a Kaneohe business early Thursday morning, police said.

When the CRU officers approached the man, he fled on foot. Police gave chase and arrested him in a residential neighborhood at about 1:24 a.m., near the intersection of Kulauli and Hilinai streets.

Officers arrested him for attempted burglary. But he was charged with criminal trespass and released on $2,000 bail.
