Girl, 16, arrested after allegedly assaulting officers in Chinatown
A 16-year-old girl, who was stopped in Chinatown Thursday afternoon and suspected of being a truant, now faces charges of assaulting several police officers and possessing drugs.
Police said the girl was being questioned by several female police officers just after 1:10 p.m. when she allegedly assaulted them.
The suspect was taken to the police station where a marijuana pipe with residue was found on her.
She was arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault on a police officer, two counts of harassing a police officer, second-degree assault, and third-degree promoting a detrimental drug. She was released pending further investigation.

This is sad. Expect to see this young woman homeless or in jail someday unless she receives a wake up call of some kind.
My father told me that the homeless are making a conscious choice on being homeless.
I am amazed at how often we read about assaults on the police out here. It is a rare and serious felony crime in North Dakota. Interesting to know why it is so common out here. Maybe no real penalty for it?
Not as rare as you think allie. More like “under reported” because there’s a lot more stuff going on there that tends to be more “newsworthy”. SA was having a slow news day. Give ‘um a break.
I bet you can’t wait to get back home, right?
Allie – maybe you should go back to where it’s safer?
“She was released pending further investigation.” You folks expect her to show up in court?
She went home to change her deodorant, Always, brand with wings.
Teen should have been minding her own business on Facebook instead of doing mischief in public.
Would she have assaulted the police officers if they were men? My guess is NO. With female police officers, guess she felt she could take them down.
And these folks wonder why they shot or tazed!
