Medical examiner IDs Waimea Bay drowning victim
The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 53-year-old Maryland visitor, who was found unconscious in Waimea Bay Sunday, as Scott Orbach from Chevy Chase.
The cause of death was determined to be drowning.
Police said the victim was swimming when he lost consciousness around 6:04 p.m. He was taken to Kahuku Medical Center where he died.
