The Coast Guard recovered a 13-foot white sailing dinghy near Kaneohe Bay, Wednesday.

The Coast Guard is trying to find the owner of a 13-foot white sailing dinghy found adrift near Kaneohe Bay Wednesday night.

A Marine Corps helicopter crew spotted the dinghy at about 5:25 p.m.

The Coast Guard sent a small boat to recover the sailing dinghy, which had no mast or sail.

There are no reports of missing persons in the area.

The Coast Guard attempted to contact the owner of the dinghy, but the vessel is not currently registered.

Anyone with information that may help identify the owner of the sailing dinghy is asked to contact the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu Command Center at (808) 842-2600.

The Coast Guard also reminded mariners that free “If Found” are available at local harbormasters, through the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Honolulu Sail and Power Squadron offices and some marine retail and supply stores.
